if u cant do them …
if u cant do them in 1 set, try doing as many as u can on the exercise and if u have not reached the goal of 50, split it up into 2 or even 3 sets. if u are unable to do pull ups try switching it to lat pull downs but make sure you face your elbows away from you when doing the exercise to isolate the lats

Excellent tips but these seem to be for people who are already honestly physically advanced. I can do about 20 pushups and 0 pullups. What exercises should I be doing to get myself to the point of doing these pullups? Any suggestions?

    Worth getting the …
Worth getting the squats right, they cause the body to produce excess growth hormone which will increase your size. Best keep to neutral spine, so don’t round the back when you bend down.

    @sp1ink:

If your muscles hurt, something’s incorrect. If they are sore, you did a excellent exercise. Learning the difference is vital… Believe me, you don’t want to hurt your body :)

When your muscles are sore, you should give them some rest (1 – 2 days of rest). Resting is at least as vital as working out. Remember that… You can hurt your muscles if you work out without resting. Or you can just train different groups of muscles throughout the week…

    I have always been …
I have always been skinny ever since i can remember.. i have tried allsorts of things like shakes and working out but none of this worked, it took around 2 years of living like a slob and not doing anything apart from eating to gain 4 stone.. i am now 6’4” and 14 1/2 stone. I have just started working out again but this time im taking testosterone tablets aswel as protien shakes, i have been doing this for 1 week and can already see results.

    yeh man when they …
yeh man when they hurt after you work out thats a excellent thing. how it works is you hurt your muscles and the pain wont kick in until you have had a rest then they hurt and what your doing is breaking your muscles then they heal over and become stronger. its only because your body is not used to it. when you hurt the next day you should be pleased with your self that your muscles are becoming stronger

Not right at all, if that were right why do people with diabetes take protein powders to keep there blood sugar levels stable. Research has shown that ingesting protein powder every day can boost immune system health. A human body needs daily protein because that is what muscles and tissues are built from.

thanks for the advice kid but your about year and half late, I already do that and I’ve gained 24 pounds. I took weight gainers and also took creatine but I didn’t like it so I stopped taking creatine. I remember back in high school I wasn’t able to lift 60 lbs on a bench, yea i was that weak, now I can pick up double that amount.

    not for building …
not for building muscle, wanna build muscle, eat 5-6 times a day ( thats like every 2-3 hours) get excellent sleep and lots of protein and lift heavy doing 9-15 reps! remember to warm up with lighter weights. no pain no gain

  19. kingconnor69 says:

so what if your like a beginner.. Seriously i can do maybe 4-6 chinups, 10-15 pushups,30-50sit ups, maybe 10-15dips.. What hes saying sounds pretty extreme~ Should i worry about cardio first? Like rope jumping and what not.. Im 19, 5’11″ and 154 pounds. ~~ Any tips would be welcome. You can question me for my msn to :D

    hehe.. 300 pushups …
hehe.. 300 pushups is way too over the top my friend..

at least im sure a beginner like me would be in the hospital after that..probably getting my arms amputated..

but i never said you wouldnt see results in a year.. just not a month.. or at least no huge results..

I follow a normal (not heavy) schedule and i am seeing improvements happening, musculair ones too;)

only pity is that the breasts are showing up sooner then the abs LOL

  23. OnlyReconSon says:

If you can do all …
If you can do all of them in one go, yes. For most people its probably 10×5. do how ever many you can squeeze out in one set, but always remember form is everything if you cant continue to keep proper form take a 30 second rest and try to bust them out when you can.

  24. OnlyReconSon says:

    depending on your …
depending on your daily routine you could start to see changes in as small as a week. What are you talking about 3 years for? do 300 push-ups and sit-ups, 75 pull-ups and dips. and throw some basic barefoot tree climbing in, and you will see results, Quick. i don’t know what you are doing that you don’t see change for at least a year, but maybe its time for you to up your workout my friend.
